You need to stop data dumping, let’s start right there.
You are used to walking into the testing center and hearing your test proctor say,
“Everyone take out your blank piece of paper and write down everything you don’t want to forget.”
❌STOP RELYING ON THAT❌
Our goal is not to memorize facts and get a good grade on some test, if that’s your end-goal for studying then I’d kindly ask you to take your money elsewhere. I can’t help you if you’re not wanting to truly become a Project Manager Professional and embrace everything that entails.
Now, I know what most of you are thinking…
“But Scott I just fill out that blank sheet with information just in case I forget something.”
“But Scott I get nervous in tests and this helps calm me down”
“But Scott I’m just not a good test taker”
I really have heard every reason justifying the tactic of cramming your head full of information for a 4-hour test. I understand as well, it works sometimes.
Data dumping sometimes helps people pass this test…but it doesn’t help them BECOME a project manager, that only comes from attaining situational knowledge and confidence.
The best ways to master these two secrets to passing the PMP Exam?
✅ Evaporating Data Dump
✅ State-Based Conditioning
Quick side note State-Based Conditioning helped me that one time I got stabbed in my 20s, food for thought…
